The Halite cryptography library extensively uses X25519/Curve25519 elliptic curve algorithms for key exchange and Ed25519 signature operations, which are vulnerable to quantum attacks via Shor's algorithm. With 16 high-severity findings across 5 files, the library requires migration to NIST-approved post-quantum algorithms to maintain long-term cryptographic security.
